Adaptive Gymnastics

Adaptive Gymnastics for Students with Special Athletes

Girls and boys, ages 5-15

50 min/ 1 x week/ $50 per 4 week monthly session

Spring Term: Thursdays 5:00, Thursdays 6:00

Our adaptive gymnastics class that allows athletes with special needs the opportunity to engage in gymnastics classes. The program is designed to enhance basic movements such as gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and basic gymnastics skills as well as develop social skills, listening skills, and how to follow directions. These students are introduced to all our gymnastic events including vault, bars, beam, tumbling, dance, and trampoline.

*AGA requires a medical release from the student's doctor prior to attending the class to ensure the safety of our special athletes. Please email your medical release to agadesk@gmail.com.

USAG HUGS Competitive Gymnastics

HUGS stands for Hope Unites Gymnastics with Special athletes. Later this spring, we hope to open a competitive Gymnastics program for our girls to compete on our HUGS Competitive Team. This will be open to all girls ages 5 & up with special needs. There are three divisions of HUGS- Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald, so there will be a division for your daughter!

Preschool (4-5)

Girls and Boys, age 3½- 5 (age 3- 3½ may request a trial class)

Preschool is for independent, potty trained children age 3½- 5. The program is designed to enhance basic movements such as gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and basic gymnastics skills as well as develop social skills, listening skills, and how to follow directions. These students are introduced to age-appropriate gymnastics apparatus in a fun and structured environment. 

Kinder Girls (5-6)

Girls, age 5 & 6, Kindergarten

55 min/ 1 x week/ $80 per 4 week monthly session

KinderGirls is for 5 & 6 year old independent children in Kindergarten. The program is designed to enhance basic movements as well as introduce fundamental gymnastics skills. Students learn flexibility, strength, and the basic gymnastics skills on each apparatus. Skill sets are learned on the vault, bars, beam, floor exercise, and trampoline.

Boys Gymnastics Classes

Boys Gymnastics (ages 5½-14)

55 min/ 1 x week/ $80 per 4 week monthly session

The Boys Gymnastics class is designed to introduce fundamental and progressive gymnastics skills and does not require any prerequisite skills for placement. Students learn flexibility, strength, and the basic gymnastics skills on each apparatus. Boys learn skills on the vault, high bar, rings, parallel bars, floor exercise, and trampoline.

Beginner Classes

Beginner Girls 6-8 (1st & 2nd grade), Beginner 8-10 (3rd & 4th grade) & Beginner 10+ (5th grade & up)

55 min/ 1 x week/ $80 per 4 week monthly session

The intermediate class is designed for students that have had some gymnastics experience and is proficient with the beginner skills sets. Placement into this class requires a completed skill evaluation or if a student has tested out of AGA’s beginner class within 1 year. In this class, focus is placed on teaching proper techniques and performing with correct form.

Event Classes

Available to Girls Beginner & Girls Intermediate Students

Strength & Conditioning Class (ages 6-12), Bars Class (ages 6-12), Beam Class (ages 6-12), Vault/Beam Class (ages 6-12), Bar/ Floor Class (ages 6-12)

25 min/ 1 x week/ $30 per 4 week monthly session

Spring Term:

Handstand & Cartwheel Class:

Wednesday 4:30

Strength & Conditioning Class:

Vault/ Beam Class:

The event classes are designed as a supplemental class for our beginner and intermediate students to focus solely on skills, drills, and conditioning for that particular event. Students must also be enrolled in a beginner or intermediate class to take this class. The Vault/ Beam and Bar/ Floor class will coordinate with their regular class. They will attend the event that they did not attend in their normal class each week.

Back Handspring Class

Available to Girls Intermediate & Pre-Team Students

Back Handspring Class (ages 6-12)

40 min/ 1 x week/ $40 per 4 week monthly session

Spring Term:

Monday 7:00

The back handspring class is designed as a supplemental class for our intermediate students to focus solely on skills, drills, and conditioning to acquire a back handspring. Students must also be enrolled in an intermediate class or Pre-Team to take this class.

The progressive plus class is an "add-on" class that will prepare students for entrance to the Pre-Team class. Only invited students will be permitted into the class.

One  Day Pre-Team 

Invite Only, Girls 5-9

2.5 hours/ 1x week/ $125

Spring Term: Wednesdays 3:45-6:15

Two Day Pre-Team 

Invite Only, Girls 8 & up

2.5 hours/ 2 x week/ $150

Spring Term: Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:00-7:30

The Pre-Team class is for students that have been identified in our
Progressive Plus classes that demonstrate near proficiency on the Intermediate skill sets. This class will gear students for entrance into our USAG Levels 2 or 3 competitive team. This class is intended only for our students that want to pursue competitive gymnastics.

College Students Welcome

1 hour/ 3 x week

$10 per class for AGA Members & AU students that present Student ID


Fall Term:  Tuesday 7:00-8:00, Wednesday 5:30-6:30 & Thursday 7:00-8:00.

(Offered August 16 through November 30; no classes held November 21-23 )

No prior scheduling is necessary, and you can just pay as you attend. This non-structured tumbling class is for advanced tumblers that want to perfect their tumbling skills. This is for students ages 15-24. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent present upon registration to provide parental consent.
